Notice accounts
Rank | Bank | AER* | Term | Contact Details |
1 | Scarborough Building Society | 4.37% | 90 day notice, min bal £2,500 | www.scarboroughbs.co.uk |
2 | Scottish Widows | 3.85% | 60 day notice, min bal £100 | www.scottishwidows.co.uk |
TOP TIP - Notice accounts are difficult to compare because there are a huge range of terms. Always find out if there is a minimum balance - if your account falls below this you may get no interest at all. Also, make sure the interest rate you are quoted is the one you will get - these accounts are often banded so that higher balances attract increasing rates of interest, be wary of literature which highlights only the top rate which is only applicable on high balances - ask to see a full list of rates. Here we have listed the rates for the lowest balance band. These accounts are unlikely to be your first port of call as a recent graduate.
